Imo the banishing ending isn't a "good" ending, it's simply another choice. Grimm isn't doing anything bad after all and doesn't seem to be bothered by his fate of constantly dying and getting reborn. That is simply how his kin survives. It's just Brumm that has doubts and seems to be tired of living forever. Nobody else seems to mind.
